Effective procedures for effective eyelashes

Length, bend and volume of eyelashes depend primarily on genetics. However, natural data is not a sentence, and if you are unhappy with your eyelashes, you can easily bring them closer to the ideal. We will not talk about the treatment of eyelashes with oils and especially not about eyelashes building up. The achievements of cosmetology today have reached such a level that you can get the desired result literally in one session from a specialist in modeling the look or at home – using effective means.

Henna Eyelash Coloring

Henna has been known for more than one hundred years for its dyeing properties. It has been used to give the right shade to the hair, eyebrows and eyelashes for a long time. Unlike chemical paint, henna strengthens the hairs, making them thicker physically and visually. The persistence of henna also surpasses artificial colors; the brightness of the color persists for 3-4 weeks, which will be appreciated by those who have light or dim eyelashes. Another advantage of henna comparing to a hair dyes is the cumulative effect: with each procedure the lashes will only become stronger.

It is always preferable for such a procedure to be performed in a salon by a specialist, but with a certain skill you can manage doing it at home. In either case, do not forget to make a patch test for allergy: before dyeing the eyelashes, apply the compound to the elbow bend and observe the reaction. As a rule, henna is well tolerated – this natural dye is hypoallergenic. Keep in mind, though, that the eyes require delicate treatment, so it is worthwhile to protect yourself from any unpleasant surprises.

Despite all the advantages, dyeing henna has a minus: possible incompatibility with other procedures. If you decide to dye the eyelashes with henna, prepare for it in advance. For 2-3 months refuse any procedures for eyelashes with the use of chemical compounds. Even a change in the manufacturers of henna can lead to unexpected results: a green tint or increased fragility.

Keratin Laminating of Eyelashes

Keratin is a strong protein, which is the main constituent of the skin, hair and nails. That is why keratin formulations in cosmetics and hair care products are considered effective. For example, one of the most popular salon procedures today is hair lamination, after which the curls become strong, smooth and well-groomed. By the same principle one can work with eyelashes, but only with a specially designed means developed for the sensitive area of the eye! Due to the chemical analogue of keratin, which is part of the preparation, the cilia look more dense, long and healthy.

The lamination procedure takes about 1.5 hours and consists of several stages. First, the eyelashes are cleaned and degreased, so that the nutrient composition penetrates deeply into the hairs. Then comes the time for the preparation and the fixation of the eyelashes on the silicone pad. Next, an artist applies a nutritional composition and, if necessary, dyes the eyelashes. At the end, the hairs are covered with keratin, which makes each cilium thicker and longer.

Immediately after the procedure eyelashes are glued, but the next day the hairs become lush. With proper care, the result of lamination lasts 1.5-2 months and gradually comes to naught. Correction is not required.

Keratin lamination is recommended for the purpose of improving the appearance and quality of eyelashes, as well as their protection from the negative effects of sunlight or frost. With laminated eyelashes you can swim, visit sauna or sleep face front in the pillow.

It is not recommended to moisten eyelashes for the first 24 hours after the procedure, remove mascara and cosmetics from the eyes with a sponge, and carry out lamination with individual intolerance of the drug components, during pregnancy and lactation. The procedure is not indicated for very weak eyelashes, as they can break down under their own weight.

Botox for eyelashes

The visual effect of botox for eyelashes is comparable to lamination, but the quality of treatment and its resistance surpass them. The composition of the drug is richer and more effective: hyaluronic acid (restores the eyelashes and stimulates their growth), keratin (gives strength to the hairs), collagen (increases the elasticity of the eyelashes), B vitamins and argan oil (moisturize and nourish) and other components that ensure good tolerability of the procedure.

The session takes about 2 hours and takes place in several steps: biochemical, staining, nutrition. After the final stage, polyethylene or foil is applied to the eyelids so that useful substances would soak into the hair better.

At the end of the procedure, the eyelashes acquire a bright color, become more bulky, long and obedient. Botox affects not only the “adult” eyelashes, but also stimulates the growth of new ones. After the procedure, on the average, it takes about 3 months until the ciliary raw is fully refreshed. Correction may be required in the event that the difference between processed and new eyelashes becomes too noticeable.

Means for the growth of eyelashes with Bimatoprost

Bimatoprost is the active substance of ophthalmic agents used in glaucoma. The ophthalmologists noticed that eyelashes become longer, thicker and darker in patients using eye drops.

After a series of clinical trials it was found that bimatoprost can be used for cosmetic purposes. As a result, a lot of eyelash serum appeared on the market, with a concentration of 0.03% bimatoprost (Latisse, Careprost, XLash, Talika and many others). The drugs increase the life cycle of the hairs, making the eyelashes longer and thicker. Visible result is noticeable, as a rule, after a couple of weeks of regular application.

Serums with bimatoprost are safe for the body and, contrary to popular belief, are not hormonal agents. However, they also have shortcomings.

First, the individual intolerance of the components of the drug. If tearing, dryness, redness, or inflammation of the eyes occur, serum use should be discontinued.

Secondly, the effect of lifting. The result from the activators of the growth of eyelashes is not cumulative and at the end of the use of the drug, the cilia return to their original state. To prolong the effect as long as possible, it is recommended to complete the course gradually: first apply the drug every day, then every other day, every two days – and so on until the number of uses is reduced to zero.

Thirdly, drugs with bimatoprost are very popular, so they are often counterfeited. Having bought a product in a random store, you can end up without a positive result, or worse, harm your health. For the first time activators of eyelash growth are better to buy from official distributors. Only by studying in detail the original packaging, consistency, color and odor of the product you will be able to further distinguish this drug from forgery.

As you can see, to find chic eyelashes is simple – it’s enough to emphasize the beauty of your own. But, pay attention, all listed procedures are contraindicated in eye traumas, conjunctivitis, barley, acute diseases, recent ophthalmic operations, increased lacrimation and sensitivity of the eyes.
